Jason Miller is a Certified Flight Instructor (CFII), aviation educator, and founder of The Finer Points, a trusted resource for pilots dedicated to sharpening their skills and deepening their understanding of flight. With more than two decades of instructional experience, Jason has earned a reputation for his engaging teaching style, technical expertise, and unwavering commitment to safety in general aviation.
Widely respected in the aviation community, Jason has logged thousands of hours in the cockpit and guided pilots at every stage of training—from first flights to advanced ratings. Through The Finer Points podcast, YouTube channel, and online training programs, he blends storytelling, real-world experience, and FAA standards to make complex aviation concepts clear, practical, and memorable.
Jason’s contributions to pilot education have received national recognition, including being named FAA Flight Instructor of the Year for the Western Pacific Region in 2009. His mission is to elevate the art of flying by helping pilots think clearly, fly safely, and pursue continuous mastery.
When he is not teaching, Jason can be found flying throughout the western United States, speaking at aviation events, and creating educational content for a global community of aviators.
